Michele Harmon Team has had an AMAZING year despite the struggles of the Covid-19 pandemic. Our sales partner, Kathryn Sherrouse performed exceptionally well this September and we are so proud of her accomplishments. After returning from maternity leave, her business has soared! She is hardworking, knowledgeable, emotionally-invested, honest, and trustworthy. We are amazed at her organization and how she always represents her clients to the best of her ability. She is a great team member and she is always willing to help out her team.
Kathryn grew up in the Katy and Cypress area and moved to Tomball for its location and great school district.
“I love this area of Houston, I really can’t imagine living anywhere else. However, once my kids are grown and I retire, I’d love to move back to the hill country,” Kathryn said.
Kathryn graduated from Cy-Fair High School and obtained an Elementary Education degree from Texas State University. She started her career as a real estate agent in 2015 and joined Michele Harmon Team in 2018.
“Joining Michele Harmon Team was an absolute game changer. The team is so organized and has a system for everything! Being on her team makes it easy to help so many families find their dream home. Between the nine of us, there is so much knowledge and experience with almost every type of transaction,” Kathryn said.
Kathryn remains excited about her career in real estate while working with Michele Harmon Team. She loves how no day is ever the same because every family’s need/transaction is different. “I love seeing the joy on my clients’ faces when we walk into ‘the one’,” Kathryn said.
Her favorite part of each work day is educating her clients on the buying and selling process. “It is so fun to explain how it all works,” Kathryn said. “It brings out the teacher in me!” However, choosing just one favorite part of the day was difficult for her. “A close second favorite part of the day would have to be handing keys to my clients and letting them know their home has been funded and they can move in,” Kathryn said.
Kathryn has a wonderful family that includes her husband, Marcus, her 7.5 month old baby, Charlotte, and, her 6-year-old Papillon dog, Bella. Her mom, dad, step-mother, sister, and brother-in-law are all past Michele Harmon Team clients. She is excited for her brother, Dax, to move back to the Houston area and also become Michele Harmon Team clients. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and relaxing with a peaceful pedicure.
After returning from maternity leave, Kathryn struggled with creating a work/home balance because real estate never stops and there are hard deadlines that need to be met outside of the traditional 9-5 office hours. “I am working through it and I am definitely getting better about making time for my family and getting work done while Charlotte is napping,” Kathryn said. Throughout the year, she hopes to accomplish sticking with time blocking. She is eager to stay on top of when she needs to be following up with clients and working on current transactions.
Kathryn spent five months on maternity leave and has been rocking her business since her return! She has sold 8 homes with 4 currently pending. She advises anyone who is just starting out in the real estate business to obtain the right support and coaching. “I would advise my younger self to join Michele Harmon Team sooner! The team helped my business grow in a matter of months!” Kathryn said.
