Local Christmas Events to Boost Your Holiday Spirit

Are you looking to get out of the house while boosting your holiday spirit this Winter? Despite the pandemic, there are still a lot of family-friendly events taking place for you and your family to enjoy. Take a look at the upcoming events below and comment on our social media page which one you are most looking forward to.

Drivin’ Thru a Santa Wonderland

The City of Tomball is hosting a drive-thru Christmas event on December 10th at Juergen’s Park. Children can drop off their letters to Santa and receive a goodie bag from his elves! Be sure to enter through the North side of the park and drive through to wave at Santa. Non-perishable donation items are welcomed in contribution to the city-wide food drive.

Hogwarts Christmas Village

The 4th Annual Harry Potter themed fundraiser event will take place at Westminster United Methodist Church on December 10th, 11th, and 12th. Stop by to enjoy butterbeer, Harry Potter trivia, and to help raise money for a good cause. Once you enter Diagon Alley, you’ll be given your Car Pass which will unlock the wizarding world for you and those you choose to share the magic with in your vehicle.  You’ll find all your favorite stops along the way as you drive through our Hogwarts Christmas Village. You’ll compete for the coveted House Cup through a series of tests and trials meant to separate the magical from the muggles. You’ll have a chance to get your sugar fix at Honeyduke’s, finish your Christmas shopping at Flourish and Blott’s, AND be sorted into your House over the radio for all to hear! Home for the Holidays at Old Town Spring

Visit Old Town Spring now through December 20th to see the historic Old Town Spring transformed into a holiday wonderland. It features twinkling light displays, live entertainment, family-friendly activities, and photo opportunities with Santa. Visit during the center’s normal operating hours on the weekend to enjoy the festival! 

Conroe Christmas Celebration

Conroe is hosting their Christmas Celebration on Saturday, December 12th from 11-4 pm at the Heritage Place. Holiday festivities will include two REAL snow hills, face painting, a petting zoo, pony rides, train rides, a live nativity scene, camel rides, and more! Click here for more information.

Let it Snow with The Woodlands UMC

The Woodlands United Methodist Church is hosting a snow-filled holiday experience on December 18th at 2:00 at the Woodforest Sports Field. The event will include crafts, snacks, Santa, and SNOW! Click here for questions or more information.

The Woodlands Symphony Swinging Christmas Concert

Join The Woodlands Jazz Orchestra and the Woodlands Symphony as they present “A Swinging Sinatra Christmas” on December 20th at The Woodlands First Baptist Church. Headlining the show is Bryan Anthony, one of the most loved Frank Sinatra style singers in the U.S. and abroad. Expect to hear “Christmas Songs with Sinatra” and get transported back to 1948 with the Woodlands Symphony and Jazz Orchestra.

Rudolph’s Light Show

Head to Hockley to experience Rudolph’s drive-thru light show that features over a million lights synced to your favorite holiday tunes. Embrace the Holiday Season at Hou-ville

Hou-Ville is a brand-new immersive Holiday Exhibit that puts a Houston spin on Dr. Seuss’ iconic Christmas village of “Whoville”, in Downtown Houston! The new holiday experience will transform Live Nation’s 40 Below, into a real-life Houston version of “Whoville” where kids and adults are transported to a life-size whimsical Holiday City. A Nite of Lights in Prestonwood Forest

The subdivision of Prestonwood Forest lights up with its 43rd annual ‘Nite of Lites’ Event from December 12 through December 27. Prestonwood’s 785 homes participate in friendly, holiday-spirited competition for a variety of individual and block recognition categories which are awarded by a committee of guest judges. The individual home award categories are: Best House, Best All-Around, Best Door, Best Mailbox, and Best Lamp Post. And, the group/block awards are: Best Block, Best Cul-de-sac, and Best Block Runner-up. Click here for more information and event updates.

Trail of Lights

Tomball United Methodist Church is hosting a free family event three weekends in December from 6:30-8:30 pm. Take your family and friends for a nice walk through their trail of lights, see santa, and make memories together! The event is free and open to the public.
